Celebrating one of our Brides-to-be...
We were lucky enough to design and coordinate a Bridal Shower for one of our VIB's (Very Important Brides) this past weekend. Her sister enlisted our services since she didn't live in the area, relying on our expertise from start to finish.
We created this fabulous event for her with a delicious menu from Chef Sean of Temper Grille. The quaint and private atmosphere of his restaurant was the perfect setting for this afternoon soiree.
Our theme was a kitchen shower. Christina of Cloud9 designed the invitations to include a recipe card, which will be bound in a recipe book for her later.
Guests took home "love beyond measure" measuring spoons with engraved messages such as "A Pinch of Patience" = ¼ teaspoon, "A Dash of Kindness" = ½ teaspoon, "A Spoonful of Laughter" = one teaspoon, and "A Heap of Love" = one tablespoon.
We couldn't resist to call upon our favorite desserts from Alexis at Cakewalk. She made the brides' favorite, 'lemon lavender' cake pops for a sweet finish!

Merry Mitzvah!
This past weekend we had the opportunity to design the centerpieces for a Bar Mitzvah. Several months ago we sat down with our young client, and his mother to brainstorm some ideas. He has a love for soccer so we expanded on that theme for him.
Here's what we came up with:
We chose some of our shallow rental containers and filled them with fresh wheat grass to create a soccer field. Adding miniature soccer figurines and a miniature soccer ball, complete with a soccer goal (made from a butterfly net) was the perfect simple design.

Now that the dust is beginning to settle...
We're finally winding down a very busy summer... which is allowing me some time to catch up a bit on my blog roll!
I really enjoy this 'season' of the ebb and flow in event planning and design. I've begun to meet with some of our 2012 brides and start the brainstorming process together. It helps to refresh with new ideas and inspiration.
Here are some of my favorites:
'Every Last Detail'
'Snippet and Ink'
'Polka Dot Bride'
'Amy Atlas'
We've got some great events already scheduled for next year...we're looking fowrad to a fabulous 2012!
Happy Planning!
