Merry Monday: Photographer

Picking a photographer that can communicate your style is one of the most important things on your wedding checklist. Beyond your own recollections, the way that you remember your special day will forever be molded by how the photographer, through her photos, communicates what happens. The relaxed elegance of this preppy/chummy couple is completely summed up in this one photo. Yes, a good photographer provides you an artful preservation of your personality.

Merry Monday : Classy Carnival

Classy Carnival

Who among us doesn't share a fondness for Ferris wheels, funnel cake and fireworks? Fairs have such a familiar and comforting air about them, but would it make for a viable theme for your wedding? Certainly!--if the right measures are implemented to keep it classy. The key is not to overdo it. Use elements of a carnival as inspiration, but don't get too literal.

Check out this recipe for Tequila Soaked Watermelon wedges, a fun snack for cocktail hour!

Use this striped paper straws to liven up your signature cocktail.

What a fun favor, popcorn bags!

What better way to incorporate a carnival theme into your wedding than carnival games!
